San Francisco, CA Zoo 2007

These are some pics of the San Francisco zoo from November 2007. What surprised me the most was the level of lushness of the exhibits and the overall weight of the animals. The fog was rolling in which gave some the exhibits a more ethereal quality. The zoo sits right on the pacific coast.

About Zoos

This is a collection of various zoos and aquariums I have visited around the country. I am a Zoo fanatic; it doesn't have to do with seeing animals, but more to do with seeing an exhibit that transports you across the world or through time to somewhere you might never get the chance to go. Well done zoos are both an environmental hope for this world and a hope for humanity; a chance to prove that we can understand the environment in which we live and give life a guiding hand.

Sometimes, the pictures are an example of what we can do with our intelligence and other times, they are an example of how we cage other's intelligence.

WHEN I SEE A CAGE, A TEAR FALLS FOR THE BEING THAT SITS IN THERE- A BEING WITHOUT HOPE; A BEING WITHOUT POSSIBILITY.

LET US CAGE NO ONE; LET OUR PLANET CAGE EVERYONE TOGETHER.

The best example of applause is mimicry; the worst is complacency with human mediocrity.

I hope to keep this album up to date and remember to bring my camera with me when I go on these trips.
